Our Story
It all started in a cabin workshop in Northern Minnesota. In 2020, I launched Northwoods Engineered as a YouTube channel to document a simple obsession: building better ways to hunt, fish, garden, and create. As an engineer by trade, I’ve always been driven by a simple philosophy: if a solution doesn’t exist, or if it’s overpriced and under-built, I’ll build it myself.
It started with a single problem and a length of conduit. I needed a specific hinge system for a build using Maker Pipe connectors. When I couldn't find it, I bought my first 3D printer, designed a solution, and built a drill jig to match. That one spark of "I can make this better" snowballed into a high-output 3D print farm.
The result? A product line as diverse as the Northwoods. You’ll find conduit accessories right next to 3D-printed European skull mounts (a project born from a mission to fix my brother’s broken deer mount). Do skull mounts and structural hinges belong together? Maybe not in a big-box store—but they do here. I follow the hobbies, I solve the problems, and I share the results with people who value grit and ingenuity.
Small Shop. Big Standards. Today, I run Northwoods Engineered as a solo owner-operator with the unwavering support of my wife and two young daughters. I’m here to bridge the gap between digital design and the great outdoors. I am dedicated to providing top-tier customer service and am incredibly grateful for every customer who joins me on this journey.
