We've Got a New Look

Our Story

The story of Northwoods Engineered started in a cabin workshop in Northern Minnesota. In 2020, Northwoods Engineered initially launched as a YouTube channel to document a simple obsession: building better ways to hunt, fish, garden, and create. As an engineer by trade, I’ve always been driven by a simple philosophy: if a solution doesn’t exist, or if it’s overpriced and under-built, I’ll build it myself.

Different than the 3D printed European mounts for sheds and racks that we're known for now, we actually began with a specific hinge system that I needed for a work project. When I couldn't find it, I bought my first 3D printer, designed a solution, and built a drill jig to match. That initial spark of "I can make this better" snowballed into a high-output 3D print farm.

Today, I specialize in supplying fellow outdoor enthusiasts with 3D printed skull mounts, which was initially a solution for fixing my brother’s broken deer mount. I follow my passions, solve problems in new ways, and share innovative solutions with those who also value grit and ingenuity.

Northwoods Engineered is a solo owner-operator Minnesota business with the unwavering support of my wife and two young daughters. I’m here to bridge the gap between digital design and the great outdoors, and am dedicated to providing top-tier customer service. I believe in small shops and big standards. And I am incredibly grateful for every customer who joins me on this journey.
